TIme and again, however well we know the landscape of love,
and the little church-yard with lamenting names,
and the frightfully silent ravine wherein all the others
end: time and again we go out two together,
under the old trees, lie down again and again
between the flowers, face to face with the sky.

Uma e outra vez

Uma e outra vez, no entanto, conhecemos bem a paisagem do amor,
e a pequena igreja-jardim com lamentações dos nomes,
e do silêncio refrescante no barranco onde todos os outros
findam: o tempo e mais uma vez, saem os dois juntos,
ao abrigo de antigas árvores,para deitar-se novamente e novamente
entre as flores, face a face com o céu.
